What we do

We not only continue to build the complexes with local Romanian companies and ensure that pupils and students receive good education. We help children, young people, but also the elderly with other social support programmes. Find out our initiatives at the Viitor Foundation.

An overview of our initiatives

  • Deployment of the local population in our projects. They receive compensation for this;
  • Maintaining a relationship with the municipality;
  • Social interaction with the church and service clubs;
  • Collaborating with other foundations;
  • School camp with Dutch schools;
  • Provide individual care to children with, for example, club feet or burns;
  • Applying for allowances;
  • Helping the frail elderly;
  • Organising a Christmas party, Easter party, Sinterklaas party;
  • Providing education/daycare to children with intellectual and physical disabilities;
  • Involving children in social projects (elderly’s day);
  • Personal care;
  • Helping families build homes;
  • Visiting and feeding poor families;
  • Providing street children with food on site;
  • Offering a shower and clean clothes;
  • Providing children with items so they can go to school;
  • Tutoring for pupils and students in Casa Ellen;
  • Educational lessons;
  • Helping with household chores; such as helping to wash up, tidy up, clean;
  • Offering internships to two Dutch students;
  • Helping parents or children obtaining proof of identity;
  • Helping young people find a job;
  • Regular visits to the doctor;
  • If necessary, providing help in the form of a psychologist or educationalist, for example;
  • Supporting talented Romanian young people with further studies.
